Tree Services Offered

Tree Removal

Cutting down trees on your property is sometimes necessary for various reasons, including modifying the functional spaces in your yard, to prevent a tree or limbs from falling, to prevent damage to other structures, or because they are sick or diseased. Our safe and efficient tree removal service is designed to cause the least amount of disturbance to your landscaping possible.

Upon evaluating the problem, our knowledgeable and experienced arborists will provide a removal plan and schedule. We safely remove the tree while minimizing harm to adjacent trees, property, and buildings.

Tree Trimming and Pruning

Pruning is necessary for the dead, diseased, or even overburdened branches on your trees. This promotes healthy growth and stops the spread of illness by allowing air and sunshine to pass through the canopy. The primary objectives of pruning are to enhance the tree’s aesthetics, encourage strong branch development, and sculpt its general structure.

By following the proper tree trimming and pruning processes, we can increase the lifespan and overall health of your trees. We can also reduce the likelihood that branches will fall and injure you or another person. Regular pruning promotes vigorous development, removes unhealthy or dead branches, and improves overall structure.

Stump Grinding

Even after a tree is removed from your yard, an unsightly and perhaps dangerous stump remains. Often times, stumps can be tripping hazards, monopolize useful space, and may also yield unwanted insects and pests.

Our stump grinding service will remove the stump and root system below the surface. We can handle stumps of all sizes, from small decorative trees to large oaks and maples. The grinding process generates woodchips, which can be left on-site as mulch in your flower beds or carted away for disposal.

Our wide range of services is customized to satisfy the requirements of both residential and commercial clients, and we are dedicated to quality and safety. We have knowledge of the variety of tree species found in eastern Massachusetts, both native and non-native cultivars, their unique properties, and how to care and for them. Common Types of Trees We Service

Our team takes great satisfaction in our vast experience in caring for a broad range of native trees and shrubs found in the South Shore. We guarantee that your landscape flourishes in its natural habitat because our staff is knowledgeable about the special qualities and maintenance needs of regional species. The magnificent Eastern White Pine, the colorful Red Maple, and the stately Northern Red Oak are among the most common native trees we service.

Many homeowners and property owners have non-native trees as well. We also offer full care for trees that may not be native to Massachusetts. Among the more common non-native trees we service are Littleleaf Linden, Black Locust, Honeylocust, and Norway Maple. The specific needs of both native and non-native trees are understood by our knowledgeable arborists, maintaining the vitality and health of your landscape.

Among the trees we maintain are the following:

Oak

Oak trees are found throughout the South Shore, from Cape Cod up to Boston. Their acorns are a favorite of the local squirrel population, and are the seeds that keep our local forests lush.

Northern Red Oak

The enormous deciduous Northern Red Oak tree has a broad, spreading canopy and can grow up to 100 feet in height. They are ideal choices for street and park plantings.

Deciduous big tree Sugar Maples are known for their sweet sap, which is used to make syrup, but they also have magnificent fall colors.

Silver Maple

The vast canopy and capacity to flourish in damp environments make this maple tree a quickly spreading tree highly valued.

Pine

Pine trees are common in the South Shore, and easily noticeable due to their height. Although the pitch they leave can cause a mess, they are valuable for many reasons.

Eastern White Pine

This pine tree is notable for its delicate, very flexible needles. This tall White Pine is also valuable since it has rich timber.

Once a common tree in Massachusetts, the Dutch Elm Disease of the 1930s through the 1970s took out a lot of the population. They are still common, and the population is once again increasing.

American Elm

Accolade Elm

Accolade Elm is a hybrid elm cultivar renowned for its resistance to Dutch Elm Disease. They are ideal for urban landscapes and parks because of their tolerance to drought and pollution.

English Elm

Large and spreading, the English elm is a deciduous tree with a rounded canopy. It can reach heights of 100 feet. They are attractive choices for street and park plantings.

Non-Native Trees

Apart from the natural trees present on the South Shore, we also have substantial expertise and experience intending to non-native trees that are frequently encountered in the region. Among them are Littleleaf Linden (Tilia cordata), Norway Maple (Acer platanoides), Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia), and Honeylocust (Gleditsia triacanthos). Despite not being native, these trees are sometimes planted for their shade, ornamental value, or other desired qualities.

Other Common Trees

Eastern Massachusetts has many common native trees, aside from those listed above. We care for all types of trees.

Black Cherry

A medium- to large-sized deciduous tree, the Black Cherry can reach heights of up to 80 feet under its rounded, wide canopy. The tree is suitable for landscaping and forestry projects.

American Beech

Large deciduous trees, such as American beeches, can grow to a height of 100 feet and have a rounded, wide canopy. The smooth, gray bark and dense canopy of this tree provide excellent shade.

Eastern Hemlock

This evergreen tree has a pyramid shape aside from being massive. In forest ecosystems, the Eastern Hemlock tree is essential because it can grow with minimal direct sunlight.
